TEACHERS' COUNCIL

The Teachers' Council is a statutory body constituted under the Calcutta University Act. It includes all permanent faculty members, such as the librarian, and is grounded in the principles of democratic participation in decision-making. The Council is responsible for ensuring quality in teaching, learning, and evaluation processes. It advocates for the interests of the teaching staff while upholding and enhancing the standards of the teaching profession.

The primary role of the Teachers' Council is to advise the Principal on various academic matters, such as student welfare, the academic timetable, examination procedures, and the enhancement of the library, laboratories, and teaching facilities. The Principal serves as the Ex-officio President of the Council. Committees are formed within the Teachers' Council, with faculty members selected to represent the different areas. Regular meetings are held under the chairmanship of the Principal, where important issues are discussed and resolved to ensure the effective functioning of the college.

The Teachers' Council diligently works towards achieving the college's vision and mission, drawing on the experience and innovative ideas of our respected faculty members.
